The Lion

The first time Jesus is mentioned in scripture as a lion is way back in Genesis when Jacob is blessing his sons (Genesis 49). Only we don't really know at that point that the blessing of Judah is speaking of Jesus. He is the victorious and conquering King. It is his hand on the neck of the enemy, and from him that the scepter will never depart.
