Both gifts were based entirely on who they were to their father...sons. If it was me...I wouldn't have given anything to either one, but I'm also looking at what they've done. That doesn't mean that what we do doesn't matter—it matters a lot. But do we really live into who we are and who's we are? Do we recognize the source of good things in our lives and do we realize they come from a Father who blesses us simply because he's our dad and we're his children?
